And it was 4 stars and said the book was “pretty good”! Yay! I am very happy

As you see, I’ve not asked friends or colleagues to write reviews for me, I wanted to see how the book did on it’s own. Maybe that was naive, but I’m happier with that approach.
Also, my publisher sent me a US tax form with my earnings on it implying it’s sold about 8,000 copies, I might be wrong, since I’m guessing based on the fact that it was about $4k and I make 50c a book… The tax man in the US wants 30%, which is fine, but I don’t want to have to pay again here in Ireland, so I’m asking my accountant what I am supposed to do.
Just sharing all this in case it’s useful to you, dear reader.

Does that number include digital copies?
Always buy my books in digital format these days, so yours as well. Haven’t really had the chance yet to really read it, only browsed through briefly, and started reading it
Yes, that’s physical and virtual. The commission % is higher on virtual, but the price is lower, so it sorta balances out!
