Well, I got the email this morning saying “you do not currently meet the pre-requisites required for entry into the Microsoft Certified Master Program.” But helpfully, it did list specific areas I should work on. Ironically, these three where things I had experience of, just in the interview I drew a blank!
What I’ve learned from the experience is I should have brushed up on the work I’ve already done better. I have done detailed SP2010 builds, I should have gone over the documents I wrote and my SP2010 virtual farm. I should also, ironically, read over my own book’s chapters on a few things around availability and redundancy.
So, I’ve reapplied again immediately. That’s another $125 gone, but at least I’ve learned a lesson. That this will require some, oh I don’t know, actual work?
So, I’m getting back on the bike and trying again. I think that’s the right thing to do.
